Thankfully, God has allowed First Presbyterian Church United to be a joy filled part of the Syracuse faith community for over 175 years!

Prayerfully, the difficult decision to close the church due to rising building costs, deficit budgets and lower membership has been made, with the final worship service on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 and a celebration service planned for 3:00 pm, May 6, 2012.

Faithfully, active members are working to continue a worship and mission outreach in the neighborhood; starting a new mission initiative yet to be named and formalized but with a commitment to keep the current food pantry at 620 W.Genesee St. open and active.
